Cherise "Sherry" Gredelle Wojahn was born on June 5, 1935, in Jackson, Minnesota to the late Reginald and Avis E.Y. (Piotraschke) Gee. She received her education in the Jackson, Minnesota schools and graduated from Jackson High School in the Class of 1953.
On September 22, 1968, Sherry was united in marriage to Robert Julius Wojahn at our Savior's Lutheran Church in Jackson. This marriage was blessed with one son, Shannon. After marriage, Sherry and Bob lived in Windom. In February of 1975, Bob suddenly passed away. Sherry continued to live in Windom after his death and was a loving mother to Shannon through the years. In 1990, Sherry began to work at Family Drug in Windom until retiring in 1996. Recently, Sherry suffered a stroke and passed away on June 15, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom at the age of 76 years.
Sherry was a longtime member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom and was on a bowling team in Windom in the 1970's and 1980's. She will be remembered for her love for her dog "Susie", having a kind heart, enjoyed visiting with others and spending time with children.
Sherry is survived by her son, Shannon Wojahn of Windom and his girlfriend, Angie Clarey, of Akron IA; one sister, Jacquetta Blom and her husband, David, of Minnepaolis, MN; one grandson, Halen Wojahn of Windom; one step-grandson, Ian Ortiz of Akron, IA; and five nieces and nephews.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert "Bob" Wojahn; and one infant granddaughter, Margie Delores Wojahn.
