Dayle David Eichstadt was born on June 5, 1953 in Windom, Minnesota to Albert and Esther (Schmidt) Eichstadt. He was baptized and later confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers, Minnesota. He received his education from Jeffers High School and graduated in May of 1972.
On May 22, 1976, Dayle was united in marriage to Susan Haroldson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers and they had four children. The marriage later dissolved. Dayle worked as a degreaser at The Toro Company for over forty-one years. He took pride in his work receiving a number of Eagle Awards and recently, a 40 year Safety Award.
Dayle passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota surrounded by his children, grandchildren and sister. His favorite TV station, The Weather Channel, was playing in the background. He was 62 years old.
Dayle enjoyed spending time at home watching TV, gardening, grilling and barbequing. He loved talking on the phone with his children while his dog, Mocha, sat in his lap. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his hard work, contagious laugh and good hugs.
He is survived by his four children, Travis Eichstadt and his wife, Anita, of Windom, Tiffany Eichstadt and her fiancé, Tim Geveshausen of Sioux Falls, SD, T.J. Eichstadt of Windom, and Tanisha Ritli and her husband, Alex, of Plainfield, IL; three grandchildren, Eli, Ethan, and Mak; one sister, Diane Egdorf and her husband, Ron, of Sioux Falls, SD; and other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Esther Eichstadt.
