DeAnna Jo "DJ" Bucher was born on September 26, 1940, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was adopted in 1948, along with her two sisters, by Joe and Amanda Elsing. She was baptized and later confirmed on April 4, 1953, at the First Presbyterian Church in Windom. She attended Windom Public Schools and graduated in the Class of 1958. After high school, DeAnna attended school in Mankato, Minnesota. DeAnna was united in marriage to Larry Finstad and together they had one daughter, Renee Lynn Finstad. This marriage was later dissolved. On May 1, 1963, DeAnna was united in marriage to LeRoy Bucher in Shakopee, Minnesota. Together they had four children, Robin, Brian, Lori and Joey. DeAnna worked at the Vet Clinic and the Old Country Store, was a waitress, an animal care giver, owned second-hand stores, and kept busy as a homemaker. She spent many years taking care of her Mom. DeAnna passed away on Thursday morning, December 26, 2013 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 73. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Windom. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, crossword puzzles, birds, flowers, texting her kids and grandkids, coffee with friends, animals, and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. DeAnna is survived by four children, Robin Connell and her husband, Jason, of Jeffers; Brian Bucher and his wife, Barb, of Sheldon, IA; Lori Johnson of Blaine; and Joey Bucher and his wife, Sheila, of Windom; eighteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Renee Finstad; granddaughter, Michaela Bucher; and her siblings. Blessed be the memory of DeAnna Jo "DJ" Bucher.
