Delwin Dale Jurgens was born on November 10, 1949, in Windom, Minnesota to the late Dale Robert and Beverly Ann (Doherty) Jurgens. He was baptized at an early age and later confirmed at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom. Delwin received his education in the Windom Public Schools. On October 19, 1968, Delwin was united in marriage to Judith Ann Eidem at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom. Through the years, Delwin worked in maintenance for Ready Mix for thirty plus years until being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this past June. He fought the disease courageously until passing away on Saturday morning, January 23rd, 2010, at the age of 60. Delwin was a member of the St .Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom. Delwin enjoyed many things in life which included hunting, fishing, going for rides in the truck with "Twinky", and spending time with his friends and family. Delwin is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Judi Jurgens of Windom; two sons, John Eidem and his wife, Kim, of Council Bluffs, IA and their children, Mikel, Steven and Ashley Eidem; Shannon Jurgens and his wife, Carla, of Hutchinson and their son, Nicholas Jurgens of Storden; his mother, Beverly Jurgens of Windom; one sister and three brothers, Janis O'Neil and her husband, Jim, of Faribault; Alan Jurgens and his wife, Peggy, of Windom; Dean Jurgens of Windom; Steven Jurgens and special friend, Beth Lund, of Windom; nine brother-in-laws; four sister-in-laws; fourteen nieces; thirteen nephews; and many friends. Delwin was preceded in death by his father, Dale Robert Jurgens; mother-in-law; one brother-in-law; and one nephew.
