Georgia Jean Wiebe was born on July 5, 1930, in Minneota, Minnesota to the late Ray T. and DeVee (Graham) Wilson. She received her early education in the Aitkin Public Schools until moving with her family to the Bingham Lake area where she graduated from Bingham Lake High School in the Class of 1948. She then moved to Windom. On September 17, 1949, Georgia was united in marriage to Leo Wiebe at the First Baptist Church in Windom. After marriage, Georgia and Leo lived on their current home place just north of Bingham Lake. Through the years, Georgia was faithful to her Lord, husband, and children as a devoted wife and mother. She was a longtime member of the Jeffers Baptist Church in rural Jeffers. Recently, Georgia's battle with cancer had become tougher and she became a resident of the Sogge Good Samaritan Society in Windom where she continued to fight courageously until passing away on Saturday evening, March 22, 2008 at the age of 77. Georgia's dedicated family includes her husband of fifty-eight years, Leo Wiebe of rural Bingham Lake; two sons, Kevin Wiebe and wife, Rebecca, of Jeffers; Keith Wiebe and wife, Diane, of Burnsville; five grandchildren, Scott Wiebe and wife, Leah, of Lynchburg, VA; Adam Wiebe of Jeffers; Andrew, Kayla, and Matthew Wiebe of Burnsville; one great-granddaughter, Harper Noelle Wiebe of Lynchburg, VA; one brother, Bud and wife, Linda, of Texas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Georgia is preceded in death by her parents; two children, Diane Wrase and Gary Wiebe; two sisters, Irene (Paul) Christman and Genevieve (Everett) Collin.
