Gloria Diana Zamzow was born on June 27, 1945, in Morton, Minnesota to the late Fred A. and Evelyn (Carruth) Haas. She was baptized at a young age at the Methodist Church in Morton and later confirmed in that same church. She received her education in the Morton Public Schools; graduating in the Class of 1964. On February 24, 1965, Gloria was united in marriage to Edwin August Zamzow in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. After marriage, they lived in Morton and Franklin and were blessed with two sons, Scott and Brian. Edwin passed away in January of 1985. After his death, Gloria moved back to Morton and worked for Jackpot Junction as a housekeeper for several years. In 2004, she moved to Windom where she met many new friends. On February 5, 2011, Gloria passed away at her home in Windom at the age of 65. Gloria will be remembered for many things in life including her love for her family, especially her grandchildren; love of flowers; fishing in her earlier years; spending time with her really good friends from the Riverview Apartments, especially Leonard; and her appreciation for all of the help from the staff at home health services. Gloria is survived by her one son, Scott Zamzow and his wife, Angie, of Windom; four grandchildren, Jenna, Cara, Ryan and Eden Zamzow of Windom; several brothers and sisters, Shirley Frericks of Rochester; Katherine Borvia of Santa Cruz, CA; John Toomey of Arizona; Robert Haas, Sr. and his wife, Janice, of Morton; Gene Haas and his wife, Marlene, of Morton; Francis Haas and his wife, Audrey, of Morton; and many nieces and nephews. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin A. Zamzow; infant son, Brian Lynn Zamzow; and one brother, Fred A. Haas, Jr. Blessed be the memory of Gloria Diana Zamzow.
