LaDonna Mae Eucken was born on September 25, 1928, in Delton Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota to the late Tebbo Menno and Jeannette (Finger) Prins. She was baptized on September 11, 1936, in Jeffers, Minnesota and received her education in Jeffers; graduating in the Class of 1946. She then lived in Worthington, Minnesota where she worked at the Worthington National Bank until 1950. On December 9, 1950, LaDonna was united in marriage to Myron Donald Eucken in Jeffers, Minnesota. This union was blessed with four children, Craig, Gail, Scott, and Karen. LaDonna and Myron made their home south of Jeffers where they farmed together. On October 17, 1981, Myron passed away. After his death, LaDonna continued to live on the farm until 2007 when she moved into Pine View Assisted Living in Windom where she passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at the wonderful age of 80. LaDonna was a member of the United Methodist Church in Jeffers where she was a lay leader for twenty years, active in UMW, Ruth Circle and taught Sunday school. She also was a volunteer at the Windom Food Co-op and Meals on Wheels, and was active as a 4-H leader. LaDonna will be remembered for many things in life including being an outstanding cook, baker, and an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed traveling across the US, Canada, Europe, and the Holy Land. She was devoted to her family, celebrating and supporting them in many ways. Her faith was her strong foundation and she lived her life as a devoted servant and friend of Jesus. She is survived by four children, Craig (Pat) Eucken of Scio, OR; Gail (Del) Underbakke of Madison, WI; Scott (Tracee) Eucken of Jeffers; Karen (Randy) Gallagher of Arcadia, WI; ten grandchildren, Cori (Eric) Mundt of Good Thunder; Mandy Underbakke (Tim Hollar) of Madison, WI; Darcie (John) Radel of Rochester; Doug (Jessica) Eucken of Apple Valley; Jeni (Casey) Fossum of Clear Lake, WI; Jeremy Eucken of Salem, OR; Emily Eucken (John Schulz) of Rochester, MN; Krista (Braden) Lang of Ames, IA; Kayla Eucken (Jason) of Scio, OR; Sarah Gallagher of Arcadia, WI; two great-grandchildren, Charles Radel and Bradley Mundt; brothers and sisters, Clyde (Bonnie) Prins of Lamberton; Bob (Marge) Prins of Storden; Norm (Ruth) Prins of North Mankato; Marv (Mary Lou) Prins of Springfield; Bernice (Jack) Ryker of Jeffers; Ken (Shirley) Prins of Jeffers; Arlene Meyer of St. James; Jan Prins of Jeffers; Dick Prins of Roseville; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Myron Eucken; one sister, Beatrice Vining; one brother-in-law, Arlen Meyer.
