Paul Ernest Louis Wohlfeil was born on August 14, 1970 in Lamar, Colorado to the Rev. and Mrs. Jerome (Ruth) Wohlfeil. He was baptized August 23, 1970 at Grace Lutheran Church, Lamar and confirmed on June 2, 1985 at Valley of Peace Lutheran Church, Hailey, Idaho. He died on July 16, 2014 at his home in Boise, Idaho of natural causes. Paul attended Washington Elementary School and Canon City Junior High in Canon City, Colorado. In 1984 he moved with his family to Hailey, Idaho where he attended Wood River High School. He played on the varsity basketball team which went to the state tournament his senior year. He graduated in 1988 and then attended Concordia College, St. Paul, Minnesota for one year. Returning home to Idaho, he began working for various restaurants in Ketchum and Sun Valley. In 1991 he moved to Boise where he continued to work as a cook in a number of restaurants. For the past 15 years he worked at Legends Pub and Grill where he was the kitchen manager. Paul played guitar briefly in a band named Mellifluos. He enjoyed following different sports. His favorite teams were the Denver Broncos and Nuggets. Left to mourn his passing is his mother, Ruth Wohlfeil of Windom, Minnesota; sister Melanie (Robert) Dressel of Watertown, Minnesota; brothers, John (Leslie) Wohlfeil of Jacksonville, Arkansas; and William (Claudia) Wohlfeil of Pullman, Washington; nephews and nieces, Rochelle, Amanda and Paul Dressel; Karen Wohlfeil Prine (Drew) and sons, Hunter and Wyatt; Samantha and Christian Wohlfeil; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death were his father, The Rev. Jerome Wohlfeil, his grandparents, and a number of aunts and uncles. A time of remembering for Paul was held at Legends Pub and Grill on Thursday, July 24 in Boise. Blessed be the memory of Paul Wohlfeil.
