Robert Alvin Ludvigson, 90, of Windom, Minnesota passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Robert was born in Jackson County, Minnesota to Martin and Matilda Ludvigson on April 2, 1928. Robert was baptized on June 24, 1928 at Belmont Lutheran in Lakefield, MN, and later confirmed in that same church on December 5, 1943. On March 29th, 1959 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Gove. This marriage was blessed with one daughter, Brenda. Robert entered the United States Army, Specialist 3rd Class, on August 11th, 1954 and was honorably discharged on July 27th, 1956. Throughout his life, Robert worked for Kaiser Estech, Carter's Texaco, the City of Windom and he also did some farming for Bruce Nagorske. He enjoyed camping, auctions, fishing, and fixing lawn mowers and snowblowers. Robert also enjoyed mowing lawns for his neighbors in the summer, blowing snow in the winter, and tinkering with small engines. He collected antique cars, trucks, tractors, and attended the Butterfield Threshing Bee each year. Robert was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom. Robert is survived by his daughter, Brenda Ayers of Windom; three grandchildren, Ashley Ayers of Windom, Matthew Ludvigson of Odin, and Tyler Ayers of Jackson. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Matilda; brothers; Henry, Hans, Carl, Gordon, and Lloyd; sisters, Lillian, Hazel, and Myrtle. Blessed be the memory of Robert Alvin Ludvigson.
