Alan Paul Crowell was born on October 20, 1966, in Windom, Minnesota to Paul and Donna (Nickel) Crowell. He was baptized and later confirmed at Red Rock United Methodist Church in rural Jeffers, Minnesota. He received his education from Storden-Jeffers Public Schools where he graduated in 1985. After high school, Alan lived in Windom and Jeffers. He worked at several auto body jobs and various trucking jobs. He also worked for AGCO in Jackson and most recently at Mt. Power Hydraulics in Mountain Lake, Minnesota as a painting and shipping foreman. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including, hunting, four wheeling, fishing, kayaking and frisbee golfing. Alan passed away suddenly on May 2, 2014 at the Windom Area Hospital at the age of 47. He is survived by his parents, Paul and Donna Crowell of Jeffers; four sisters, Debra Schroeder and her husband, Dean, of Windom; Darla Deutchman and her husband, Todd, of Windom; Denise Hansen of Worthington; and Deanne Cogdill and her husband, Steve, of New Underwood, SD; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and uncle, Dale Nickel. Blessed be the memory of Alan Paul Crowell.
