Albert John Oeltjenbruns was born on March 25, 1923 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota to the late John F. and Hannah (Mohlenbrock) Oeltjenbruns. He was baptized in Mountain Lake and was later confirmed there and received his education in the Windom Public Schools.
On June 21, 1955, Albert was united in marriage to Marie Salome Oeltjenbruns in Butterfield, Minnesota and lived on a farm near Comfrey. In 1957, they moved to Windom and then onto a farm in 1963 near Bingham Lake where he lived until two years ago when he became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom where he lived until passing away on Monday evening, July 8th, 2019 at the age of 96 years.
Through the years, Albert enjoyed farming, gardening, being a general handyman, reading the Bible, going to Threshing Bee's, Farmfest and county fairs.
Albert is survived by his five children, Mark Oeltjenbruns of Jackson; Luke (Robbie) Oeltjenbruns of Hutchinson; Amos Oeltjenbruns of Brooklyn Park; Ruth (Justin) Fisher of Dassel; Dan (Trisha) Oeltjenbruns of Windom; daughter-in-law, Stacy Oeltjenbruns of Brooklyn Park; eleven grandchildren, Marcy (Scott), Rachel, Austin, Ivy, Amanda, Sara, Megan, Alyssa, Taylor, John and Quinton; four great-grandchildren, Kelly, Naomi, Eliza and Adalynn; one brother and one sister, Martha Oeltjenbruns of Mt. Lake; John Oeltjenbruns of Mt. Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
Albert is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie Oeltjenbruns (June 18, 1995); son, Joel Oeltjenbruns (April 14, 2019); and one brother, Carl Oeltjenbruns.
