Alecia Renae Mota Morales was born to Verlin and Marsha (Bisping) Bass on January 13, 1992, in Worthington, Minnesota. Alecia was baptized, and later confirmed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on May 7, 2006. She attended Heron Lake Okabena Schools and graduated in 2010. She went on to take generals at Minnesota West until 2012. She later moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota in late 2014.

Alecia was united in marriage to the love of her life, Anthony Mota Morales on Saturday, May 13, 2023, in Okabena.

She enjoyed data entry and worked for Medvantx Pharmacy Services as a Regulatory and Compliance specialist in Sioux Falls. Outside of work, Alecia would enjoy spending time watching movies, putting together puzzles, and spending time with her husband, dog, and family. She loved to travel and lived for the Holidays. She enjoyed taking photos of the outdoors, loved fishing, and camping. She exuberantly embraced life's simple pleasures crafting a life of warmth and beauty. She was compassionate and always willing to lend a hand. She had a big heart full of love for those around her.

Alecia Renae Mota Morales passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Sanford Medical Center in Worthington, Minnesota.

Alecia is survived by her husband, Anthony Mota Morales of Okabena; parents, Verlin and Marsha (Bisping) Bass of Okabena; siblings, Eric Bass, Jeff Bass, Stacy (Bass) Marki, and Brandon Bass.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur Bass, Bonnie Bisbing, and Ken Bisping; cousin Caroline Bakalyar; uncle Bob Muller; and her mother-in-law Sherry Scofield.

A Celebration of Life Service for Alecia Renae Mota Morales, age 31, of Okabena, will be held Friday, January 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Okabena, Minnesota with Pastor Jeff Sage officiating.

A time of visitation and gathering will be held prior to the service, from 9:30 – 11:00 AM, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Okabena.
