Alice Louise Stone was born on March 10, 1923, in Delton Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota to the late John M. and Jessie L. (Carter) Schoneman. She was baptized on April 18, 1934, in Jeffers, Minnesota and received her education in District 46 South in Delton Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota. On December 1, 1949, Alice was united in marriage to Clarence Birdis Stone in Long Prairie, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with two children, Judith and John. Following their marriage, Alice and Clarence lived on a farm in Delton Township, Cottonwood County. In 1971, they retired from farming but continued to live on the farm until 1987, at which time, they moved to Comfrey. On December 19, 1989, Clarence passed away. After his death, Alice continued to live in Comfrey. She began to travel with Judy and her family for ten years every summer all over the United States. In January of 2020, Alice became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society-The Village in Mountain Lake. She remained living there until passing away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the age of 97 years. Alice was a member of the United Methodist Church in Jeffers She will be remembered for her love of gardening and flowers, crocheting, quilting, fishing, playing cards with Mitchell, Eric and John, and time spent with family. Alice is survived by her two children, Judith (Leland) Olson of St. Cloud; John (Radmila) Stone of Hirschberg, Germany; daughter-in-law, Lubica Stone; four grandchildren, Mitchell (Stacie) Olson; Eric (Amber) Olson; John (Heather) Olson; and Michael Stone; five great-grandchildren, Paisley, Camden, Carter, Everett and Veronica; and many nieces and nephews. Alice is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; three brothers, William, Lyle and Donald Schoneman; and one sister, Hilda Ramsey. Blessed be the Memory of Alice Louise Stone. A PRIVATE Family Celebration of Life Service for Alice Stone, age 97 of Comfrey will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom with Pastor Cathy Hoffbeck officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery in Windom. Alice Stone passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society - The Village in Mt. Lake.
