Arlon Dale Johnson was born on December 18, 1929, in Kimball Township, Jackson County, Minnesota to the late Ernest and Lois (Wright) Johnson. He received his early education in country school in Jackson County, Minnesota and later graduated from Mountain Lake High School in the Class of 1947. Arlon then worked on the family farm for several years before moving to Minneapolis in 1955. In 1956, he completed the Dale Carnegie Course and in the early 1960's, moved to Rochester where he worked for BASF-Wyandotte as a sales and service representative of institutional cleaning products until retiring. He retired to Windom in the late 1980's. He worked part-time in maintenance at the Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom. In November of 2017, Arlon became a resident of the Sogge Home in Windom and remained there until passing away on Tuesday morning, October 1st at the age of 89 years. Arlon had many enjoyments in life which included listening to music, reading and learning about new things, square dancing, collecting, keeping up with politics and current events, learning about nutrition, keeping track of family and spending time with them. Arlon is survived by his one sister, Correne Anderson of Richfield; many nieces and nephews and their families. Arlon is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Freda Johnson; a sister, Leora, and two brothers, Maynard and Myron.
