A Celebration of Life service to honor the life and legacy of Audrey Knuth, age 89, of Windom, will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Windom on Friday, September 5th at 10:30 AM. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom.

A visitation for Audrey will be held on Thursday, September 4th from 4:00 to 7:30 PM at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom. Visitation will continue on Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Windom for one hour prior to the service.

Audrey Ann (Revel) Knuth was born June 19, 1936, on a warm day at the family farm near Pierson, Iowa. The oldest of four daughters born to Everett and Margaret (Ebbenga) Revel. She was baptized at the Methodist Church in Pierson. In 1937, she moved to Minnesota and then to Sibley, Iowa. In 1944, she moved back to Pierson for 7 years, then moved back to a farm near Sibley. Audrey played on the 6-woman basketball team and played the cornet in the high school marching band. She graduated from Sibley High School in 1955 She enjoyed roller skating and worked at the grocery store in Sibley as a youth.

After high school, she worked at Ben Franklin in Sibley. While roller skating in Worthington, she met Darwin Knuth to whom she would marry on September 30, 1957, at the First Presbyterian Church, Sibley. To this union four children would be born, Randall, Michael, Teresa, and Steven. The couple moved to the Windom, Minnesota area in 1959. For a brief period of time living in Bingham Lake, they made their home in Windom. Audrey was a hard worker all her life, working at Ben Franklin, Fingerhut, Cenex, Toro, VFW, in the later years of her life she went back to school to become a CNA which she loved serving at Jackson and Windom hospitals.

When Darwin and Audrey moved to Windom, they chose the First Presbyterian Church as their church home in 1964. She taught Sunday School and was later ordained to serve as an Elder. She occasionally served as pulpit supply in churches of the area. She was active in the Presbyterian Women locally, presbytery and synod-wide, serving as moderator of the Presbyterian Women of the Presbytery. She served on Committee on Representation and Nurture Committee of the Presbytery of Minnesota Valleys. Along with her husband, she was church janitor for several years.

Audrey enjoyed camping and traveling around the United States. She was in the Starcraft Camping Club, founded the Country Misfits Camping Club and was an officer in the Minnesota Good Sam Camping Club. She oversaw the games at the different camping Samborees. Audrey was known for her skills in parking a camper or fixing different vehicles. In 2000, she went on a trip to Germany with Darwin. Audrey was a snowbird for many years in Arizona, many times staying with her sister Delores in Mesa.

Audrey moved to the Hillside Apartments in 2005 where she loved to celebrate people's birthdays with posters and balloons attached to their door. She loved crocheting afghans, baby blankets, hats and scarves which blessed many people. Audrey loved to bowl and with her bowling team even went to state and national tournaments. She was an avid fan of her favorite sports teams from Minnesota – Twins, Vikings, and Timberwolves.

She entered into the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ and the home he had prepared for her on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025.

Left to cherish her love and memories are her children: Randall of Ellsworth, MN, Michael of Las Vegas, NV, Teresa Templeton of Las Vegas, NV, and Steven of Mankato, MN; six grandchildren: Christopher (Carissa) Knuth of Ankeny, IA, Elizabeth (Justin) Raasch of Platte City, MO, Thomas (Lisa) Knuth of Harrisburg, SD, Amelia Knuth of Sioux Falls, SD, Kris and Kyle Templeton of Las Vegas, NV; Godchildren, Penny Burkart and Jonah Benson; nine great grandchildren: Payton, Paisley, Deacon, Verity, Elianna, Parker, Magnolia, Asher and Hannah; two sisters and their husbands: Faye and Harold Jurrens, and Donna and Sylvan McAndrews; sisters-in-law: Janice Clark and Diane Guthridge, many nieces and nephews; special friends: Mike's friend, JoAnn Duran, Jan Falk, Evelyn Deutschmann, Marlene and Dave Murphy and all those at Hillside Manor who may miss her.

Proceeding her in death were her husband, Darwin (January 10, 2005); her parents: Everett and Margaret Revel; parents-in-law: Henry and Martha Knuth; her sister: Delores and husband, Andy Vander Wal; brothers-in-law: Burdett Clark, Dr. Troy Gutheridge; and nephews: Duane and Kevin Schram.
