Barbara Ann Eigenberg was born on June 8, 1938, in Fulda, Minnesota to the late Peter and Pernice (Meyer) Kellen. She was baptized and confirmed at Presbyterian Church in Fulda, Minnesota. Barbara received her early education in Fulda Public School graduating in the Class of 1956. Barbara was united in marriage on June 14, 1958, to Russel Stoever at the Presbyterian Church in Fulda. This union blessed them with three children: Karla, Rusti, and Donna. Russel passed away in 1975. Barbara then met and eventually married Herbert Eigenberg at Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden on January 15, 1977. This union blessed them with one child, Kerri. Herbert passed away in 1987. Barbara was very active in her church at Bethany Lutheran Church. She was involved in many different groups such as Ladies Aid President, Sunday School teacher, Church Council. She worked for several years at Storden Lumberyard, Smith Oil, Storden Elevator, Jay's Café in Heron Lake and the Storden School. Barb started working as an aid and later as a cook at Heron Lake school. She was very proud of winning the Golden Apple award for teaching kids about nutrition. Barb's enjoyments were sewing, crossword puzzles, and her grandkids. Her goal was all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren have a quillow made by her. Barb had many happy times with Grandchildren both in Minnesota and Colorado. She moved to Remick Ridge in April of 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed making new friends. Her door was always open. For health reasons, Barb was admitted to Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, where she passed away on Sunday, September 6th, 2020. Barb is survived by Karla (Dean) Nelson, Storden, Rusti (Tami) Stoever, Colorado Springs, CO, Donna Knoll, Windom, Kerri Eigenberg (Cade Hagen) Jackson; grandchildren: Kali (Danny) Quade, Storden, Jaycee (Dirk) Benson, Spencer, IA, Patrick Stoever, Denver, CO, Ashley Stoever, Colorado Springs, CO, Nikki (Steve) Khoobyarian, Redondo Beach, CA and Loxley Ann Hagen, Jackson, MN; great grandchildren: Brekyn Nelson, Kendra Nelson, and Oaklee Quade. Brothers: Marv (Ann) Kellen, Reno, NV, Edward (Julie) Kellen, Winnebago, MN, Ron (Heidi) Kellen, Owatonna, MN, Herman (Lylas) Eigenberg, Gisela (Kornell) Kuehl, William (Carolyn) Eigenberg, Joan (Mel) Johnson, Glen (Sue) Stoever, Barb (Jim) Williams and several nieces and nephews. Barb is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, 1 grandchild, Cody Nelson, Grace Stoever and Bob Stoever.
