A Celebration of Life service to honor the life and legacy of Bonnie Meyer, age 86, of Windom, will be held at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom on Thursday, June 12th, at 2 PM.

Bonnie Jean Gove was born on July 4, 1938, to Russell and Helen (Wright) Gove. She was their sixth child. She received her education in Windom and graduated with the class of 1956. She attended Mankato Beauty School and opened a shop in Jackson.

She married Robert Ludvigson on March 29, 1959, at the Methodist Church in Windom. They became parents of Brenda Kay on May 22, 1963. Their marriage was later dissolved.

Bonnie worked as a waitress, and she sold Avon. In the 80s, she moved to Texas and worked at Osgood Monuments Company in Amarillo. She enjoyed crafting, cooking, playing cards and line dancing. When she retired, she moved back to Windom where she worked briefly for a monument company. In May of 2021 she suffered a severe stroke and moved into the Trimont Nursing Home, where she spent the next four years.

Bonnie passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, at Trimont Health Care Center in Trimont, MN at the age of 86.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Robert Gove, Ruth Perrrance, Dorothy Bressler and Charles Gove.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Ayers; grandsons, Matthew Ludvigson, Tyler (Nichole) Ayers; granddaughter, Ashley Ayers; great grandsons, Kenji Xaphantho, Malakai Ayers, great granddaughters, Nayeli Ayers, Naiya Ayers; sister, Margaret Bryant, sister-in-law, Jan Gove; nieces and nephews.
