An Open House Visitation for Brian Redding, age 68, of Windom, will be held at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Burial will be held at a later date.

Brian passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

Brian was born on November 11, 1957, in Windom, Minnesota, to Robert and Margaret (Muggy) Redding. He was later baptized in Darfur, Minnesota. Brian attended Windom Public Schools while growing up in Bingham Lake.

As a teenager, Brian began working at Gordy's SuperValu and, through hard work and dedication, eventually became manager of Gordy's Foods. After many years in the grocery business, Brian decided to pursue a new path and began working for Ethanol 2000 (POET), where he remained for more than 17 years until his retirement.

On January 26, 2011, Brian was united in marriage to Deb Vollan in Windom, Minnesota. Brian embraced Deb's children and grandchildren as his own and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Family meant a great deal to him, and he treasured the time spent with those he loved.

Brian had a deep passion for music and could often be found listening to his favorite songs whenever he had the chance. He especially enjoyed spending time at Bingham Lake during his younger years, where he loved canoeing, camping, swimming, and relaxing by the water. Brian also enjoyed hunting and fishing, including memorable guided fishing trips to Canada. He liked making occasional trips to Jackpot Junction and cherished evenings spent with friends around bonfires, especially at Dave Moede's home.

Brian Redding, age 68, passed away on May 19, 2026, at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Left to cherish Brian's memory are his wife, Deb Vollan of Windom; his step-son, Scott Vollan (Katie Elmer) of Windom; his step-daughter, Jodi Vollan (Ryan Sokolofsky) of Bingham Lake; his grandchildren, Alanna Vollan (Cayden Olsen), Melanie Vollan, Macy Vollan, Haley Dauer, and Hannah Dauer; his sisters, Beth (Dan) Weber and Kay Redding (Jack Nordby); his brother, Lyn Redding (Marilyn Coulter); father-in-law, Ray Wilson; sisters-in-law, Denise (Dave) Moede, Darla Nelson (Wendy VerHey); brother-in-law, Dean (Terry) Nelson; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret (Muggy) and Robert Redding; his brothers, Vee (Romayne) Redding, Jon Redding, and Mark Redding; his stepson, Lonny Vollan; Mother- in-law, Bonnie Wilson.
