Obituary

Bruce Earlewine passed away August 20, 2026, at his home in Excelsior, Minnesota.

Bruce John Earlewine was born February 8, 1955 in Windom to John and Joan (Carlberg) Earlewine. As a boy he enjoyed spending his childhood growing up on the family farm, and graduated from Windom Area High School in 1973. He then attended Worthington Community College for two years, and like high school spent time on the basketball and track teams.

For many years Bruce was employed in the clothing industry, where he managed several successful stores and later transitioned to a position at corporate headquarters to further expand operations. He had a special talent for designing effective store layouts along with appealing, inviting displays for staff and customers to benefit the business. After living in numerous areas of the country for his work he eventually returned to Minnesota and continued roles in retail sales.

Throughout life, Bruce explored a variety of interests. He held a strong love for a diverse range of music both old and new, and often checked out live bands at local venues. Art, antiques, and historic architecture all engaged his unique eye for style and appreciation for creative artistic expression. He read from a large collection of books, enjoyed the movies, and following all the local professional and college sports teams.

Bruce is survived by sister Marcy Eickholt of Eden Prairie, brother David Earlewine of Eden Prairie, and niece Cory Eickholt of New Prague. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family interment is planned at Lakeview Cemetery. May peace be with him.
