Carol Anne (Lantz) Jensen was born on November 4, 1942, to the late Clyde Jarvis and Borghild "Bonnie" (Wolner) Lantz in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. She was baptized on May 23, 1943, at the First Lutheran Church. Carol grew up on the family farm near Butterfield. She graduated from Butterfield High School. On Jun 3, 1961, Carol was united in marriage to Jerald Grant Jensen at the First Presbyterian Church in Windom. The couple was blessed with three children, Lynn, Brian, and Trevor. Carol was a housewife and helped on the farm. The family lived on their family farm near Bingham Lake from 1961-2000. Then retired to Windom from 2000-2022. Carol enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, cooking, and canning. She was a longtime active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Windom, serving at various times as the Church Secretary, Church Treasurer, Clerk of Session, Elder, Deacon, PW member and Circles. Carol was also a 4-H Leader, member of the Sons of Norway and the Lakeside Township Homemakers. Carol passed away on July 5th at her home in Windom. Carol is survived by her children, Lynn (Loren) Liepold of Roseville, MN, Brian (Deanna) Jensen of Bingham Lake, and Trevor (Vicki) Jensen of Owatonna, MN; eight grandchildren, Mark (Patty) Liepold, Bonnie (Brandon) Friese, Emily (Tay) Liepold, Logan Jensen, Gabrielle (Kyle) Zilmer, Miranda (Stephen) Lamb, Ryan (Hailee) Jensen and Ben Jensen; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Clyde (Vicky) Lantz of West Bend, WI; in-laws, Donna Mason of Davis, CA, Wayne Jensen of Windom, Glalynn (Bob) Baird of Sacramento, CA; and many relatives and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald Jensen (2017); and parents, Clyde and Bonnie Lantz. Blessed be the memory of Carol Jensen. A Celebration of Life Service for Carol Jensen, age 79, of Windom, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 10th at the First Presbyterian Church in Windom, with Reverend Pamela Prouty officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom. A time of visitation and gathering will be held on Saturday, July 9th from 4:00-6:00 PM at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom. Visitation will continue for one-hour prior to the service on Sunday, July 10th from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church in Windom.
