Obituary

born on September 4, 1941, in Mt. Lake, Minnesota to the late George and Marie (Hiebert) Sneer. She was baptized at an early age at the Salem Lutheran Church in Comfrey and was later confirmed in that same church. She received her education in the Mt. Lake Public Schools. On October 13, 1957, Carolyn was united in marriage to Ronald Harrington at the Salem Lutheran Church in Comfrey. After marriage, Carolyn and Ronald lived in several different areas in Minnesota until settling in Windom. On October 20, 1968, Ronald passed away. After his death, Carolyn continued with raising her four children in Windom. Through the years, Carolyn was known for her willingness to do just about anything for her friends, being a gentle woman, her morning coffees at Dino's Diner in Windom where she especially enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, and most of all, her love for her family, especially her grandchildren. During the day of Thursday, February 14th, Carolyn became suddenly ill and was taken to the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she passed away later that evening at the age of 66. Carolyn is survived by her four children, Todd Harrington and wife, Michelle, of Walnut Grove; Terry Harrington and wife, Cindy, of Windom; Julie Erickson of Dawson; Ronald "Dunoir" Harrington of Thornton, Colorado; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Sneer and wife, Sue, of Mt. Lake; two sisters, Jeanette Crispin of Windom; Betty Grams and husband, Howard, of Laporte; and several nieces and nephews. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald; and two brothers, Harold and Richard. Blessed be the memory of Carolyn Harrington.
