Obituary

Charles Duane Langland was born April 15, 1943, to Bert and Delia (Rhodes) Langland in Windom. He was a lifelong resident of Windom. He was baptized, confirmed and married in the United Methodist Church of Windom. He attended school in Windom.

He married Sandra Jensen on February 14, 1964. They had 3 children. Verdeen, Valerie and Verlon. He worked for Toro for 39 years. 37 of them as a welder.

Charlie loved playing his Westminster Scottish bag pipe, coronet and guitar. He enjoyed kayaking and hiking with his Border Collies, riding motorcycles of all kinds especially racing with his sons.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandra; his three children, Verdeen (Beth) Langland, Valerie (Doug) Perry, Verlon (Jessica) Langland; grandchildren, Delia (Tyler) Sepaniak, Cole (Katie) Langland, Preston Langland, Jenna Al-Jaff, Jasmine (Braden Sipe) Al-Jaff, Jaeda Al-Jaff; great grandchildren, Adrian Thaemlitz, Braxton Sepaniak, Brynne Sepaniak, Collete Langland, Kenadie Langland, Cora Langland; nephew, Craig Ludvigson, niece, Kay Langland (Bob Galer); in laws, Irene Booth, Norma Curry, Verna Booth, Bob Brunskill, Ralph (Judy) Jensen, Mary (Ted) Rutherford and Lole (Doug) Thaelmlitz.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Delia; in laws, Charles and Dorothy (Lee) Jensen; sister, Phyllis (Gordon); brother, Kenneth (Vera) Langland; nephews, Lance Ludvigson, Bruce Langland; great grand daughter, Layla.
