Cheryl Bonita Harrison was born on March 12, 1947 in Worthington, Minnesota to Leo and Nancy (Rarek) Haberman. She grew up in Wilder, Minnesota. She received her education from Windom Public Schools. The Saturday after graduation, Cheryl moved to the Minneapolis, Minnesota area for the next thirty years.
Cheryl was married to Sidney Peterson and they later divorced. On July 16, 1994, Cheryl was united in marriage to Raymond Harrison at Lake Independence, Minnesota. Cheryl worked as the assistant to the director of the National Ataxia Foundation of Minneapolis from 1990 to 1996. She also did some consulting for a few years out East. In the fall of 1996, Cheryl and Ray moved back to Windom. Cheryl worked doing home health care for almost 20 years in Windom.
Cheryl passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at her home in Windom at the age of 68.
Cheryl enjoyed reading, gardening, southern gospel music, quilting, her kitties and puppy, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. She was active in the Women's group at Assembly of God Church in Windom. Cheryl went on a mission trip to Ghana, Africa that was a life changing trip for her.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Harrison of Windom; three children, Jennifer Lockwood of Windom, Dawn Witt (Todd Bauman) of Delano and Aaron Cook of Coon Rapids; two grandchildren, Andrew Peterson and Rebekka Silbermann; five siblings, Ralph (Lynn) Haberman of Norwood Young America, Nancy (Jacob) Foster of Peoria, IL, Brian (Beth) Haberman of Bingham Lake, Cindy (Greg) Gazola of Hopkins and Patrick Haberman of Delft; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Haberman; sister, Lisa Andrew; and aunt, Bonnie Hossman.
