A Private Family Celebration of Life Service to honor the life and memory of Christopher "Topher" Lothert, age 14, of Jackson, MN will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

An Open House Visitation, where all are welcome, will be held Thursday, July 24th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Jackson.

Christopher "Chris" "Topher" Thomas Taylor Lothert was born to Matthew and Britney (Pitts) Lothert on May, 15, 2011 in Worthington, Minnesota. Chris was raised in Windom for the first eleven years of his life. He was baptized at American Lutheran Church in Windom. The family then moved to Jackson when Chris was 11 years old, where he attended school and excelled in sports including football and basketball.

Chris had big dreams of attending LSU to play football and with his determination there is no doubt that he would have accomplished that dream. He loved playing video games and spending time with family. The family just got back from a vacation to Pennsylvania and Chris loved it so much that he asked his parents if they could move there.

He also spent a lot of time at the river fishing with his best friends, Carter and Jacob. Chris, Carter and Jacob had a special bond that no one could break. Where you found one boy the other boys were not far away.

The most important thing in life for Chris was his family. He loved his parents, grandparents and his little brothers and little sister. He cared deeply and would always put family first.

Chris had the biggest heart and a personality that would radiate any room. His smile would light up the darkest of times. His laugh was contagious. Chris could make anyone laugh with his quick-witted comments. He was also a very determined individual. Whatever goal Chris had he was sure to accomplish. He was an incredible person who left this world far too soon and will be missed beyond measure.

Chris passed away on July 18, 2025, at his home in Jackson.

Chris is survived by his parents, Matt and Britney Lothert; brothers, Brantley, Ashton; sister, Matty; aunts and uncles, Morgan and Taylor, Brody, Lexi, Cody, grandparents, Heather and Danny Dzuris, Jeremy Pitts, Holly and Darren Sather, Tad and Brenda Lothert, Delmer and Kathy Dashem, Holly Pitts; great grandparents, Sharon and Ron, cousins, Mira, JoAnna, Eli,

Harrison, Evelyn, great aunts, Heather and Deanna; best friends, Carter and Jacob; cherished pets, Skye, Charlie, Luna and Moon.

He is preceded in death by great grandpa, Don Lothert, great great grandmas, Ruth Dashem, Dorothy Tonak; second cousin, Ben Matter; great grandpas, Edward Williams, Dale Irish; great great grandpa Herman Tonak, Jr.; great uncles, Wade and Owen Tonak, great great grandparents, Marvin and Delores Evenson and friend, Heidi Johnson.
