Cleora "Collie" (Sikkink) Olson was born on July 15, 1932, in Preston, Minnesota, to Dale and Ruth Sikkink. She was baptized at an early age and was later confirmed at Greenleafton Reformed Church in Greenleafton, Minnesota. She attended Prairie Queen Country School and graduated from Preston High School in 1950. She continued her education, earning a bachelor's degree in education from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

On July 17, 1953, Collie and Horace John Olson were united in marriage. The marriage was blessed with five children. The couple moved from Preston Minnesota to Jackson in 1962. Collie enjoyed her work as a homemaker. She loved family get-togethers; she knew how to have a good time. Collie was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Jackson, using her musical abilities to serve as the children's choir director, choir member, Sunday school teacher, organist, and accompanist.

She dedicated many years working at Best Western, First National Bank, and Bank Midwest until her retirement in 1997. Collie made the most of her retirement spending time with her weekly coffee group, bridge club, and attending children and grandchildren's events. She continued to share her talents spending time volunteering at nursing homes and delivering meals on wheels.

Cleora passed away peacefully on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Lakefield, Minnesota at the age of 90.

Collie is survived by four children, Kim Olson of Shakopee, MN, Margaret "Peggy" Kranz of McDonough, GA, Mike (Carolyn) Olson of Wayzata, MN, and Erin Olson (Jeff Kruse) of Jackson, MN; daughter-in-law, Andrea Olson of Gothenburg, NE; sisters, Jan (Bob) Froemming of Edina, MN, Mary Furda of Colorado Springs, CO, and Carolyn Sikkink of Maple Grove, MN; grandchildren Greg (Alison) Olson, William Kranz, Dinah (Darren) Sime, and Maren Olson; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and friends.

Collie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Horace Olson; son, Mark Olson; and brother-in-law, Larry Furda.

A Celebration of Life Service for Cleora "Collie" Olson, age 90, of Jackson, will be held Saturday, May 13th at 11:00 AM at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Jackson, with Pastor Martin Lucin officiating. Burial will be at Greenleafton Cemetery in Greenleafton, Minnesota. A time of visitation and gathering will be held Saturday, May 13th for one-hour prior to the service at LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Jackson.
