A Celebration of Life Visitation for Clyde Daberkow, age 86, of Lakefield, will be held at the VFW Post #4743 of Lakefield on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Clyde Paul Daberkow was born on March 23rd, 1939, to Paul and Ida (Wipf) Daberkow in Heron Lake Township, Minnesota. Clyde was baptized in Heron Lake Township on April 9th, 1939, and later confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church. He attended a one room school across the road from his home at St. Peter Lutheran school from Elementary through 8th grade. He later graduated from Lakefield High School in the class of 1957.

Clyde was married to Juanita Frentz on June 9th, 1973, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Lakefield. This union was blessed with one son, Tim.

Clyde worked on the farm until 1985. After farming, he found his calling in trucking for Sunderman, and Bob Dauffenbach. He traveled all over the country in his 30 years on the road, including beaches, and both oceans. After trucking, Clyde worked construction with his son, Tim, until his health started to decline. His greatest thrill came from getting an antique John Deere tractor running again for his grandchildren.

Clyde passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2nd, at his home in rural Lakefield.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Juanita Daberkow of Lakefield; children, Debra (Lenny) Daberkow Wright of Minneapolis, Doug (Connie) Daberkow of Sherburn, Angie (Dean) Erickson of Monticello, Shannon Daberkow of Willmar, Tim (Sonya) Daberkow of Lakefield; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Hughes of Springfield, Jerry (Stephanie) Daberkow of Lakefield; and in-laws, Alan (Sandy) Frentz of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Sue (Jerry) Riley of Watertown, South Dakota, and Ron Frentz of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

He is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Daberkow; grandchildren, Shelby Woizeschke, Nicholas Spencer Daberkow; parents, Paul and Ida Daberkow; siblings, Clara Johnson; parents-in-law, Gilbert and Elnore Frentz; brothers-in-law, Glenn Frentz, Stan Johnson, Doc Dean Hughes; and nephews, Gerald Garwin, and Eugene Johnson.

Juanita is praying and has invited our Lord and Savior to share in Clyde's celebration. She also asks you to pray for Gods' presence and say The Lord's Prayer.

Blessed be the memory of Clyde Paul Daberkow.
