A Time of Memory Sharing for Cody Leo Haberman, age 35, of Windom, will be held on Saturday, August 12th at 3:00 PM at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom, MN.

A time of visitation and gathering will be held from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM prior to the time of memory sharing at the funeral home.

Cody L. Haberman was born on May 12, 1988, to Julie Walma and Brian Haberman, in Shakopee, Minnesota. He attended elementary school in Windom and later graduated from Windom High School with the class of 2006.

From an early age, Cody had a love for cooking that stuck with him throughout his entire life. As a child, he enjoyed watching any cooking show that was on TV, and later made his career pursuing his passion for cooking. Cody could look at an empty fridge and still whip up one of the best meals you've ever had, and was always in charge of meals at family gatherings. Locally, Cody most recently worked for Jack Slades SteakHouse and was able to grill up one of the best steaks you could ever taste. He had also worked at Bergen Bar & Grill in Bergen, and the Eagles Club in Windom. He also spent time down in Kansas, and worked as a chef at Buffalo Wild Wings and Cracker Barrel.

Cody also loved the outdoors, and greatly enjoyed camping and going fishing in years past. He was a big fan of the Vikings, and would never miss a game. He treasured his animals, especially his dog, Ben, and his beloved cat. Cody also enjoyed playing video games, and loved listening to rock music.

Cody will be remembered for his kind heart, amazing cooking skills, and a fantastic sense of humor that could put a smile on anyone's face.

Cody will be deeply missed by his mother, Julie (John) Walma; father, Brian Haberman; sisters, Courtney (Cody) Lundquist and Cassidy (Matthew) Booze; grandparents, Lyle and Linda Krueger; 3 nieces and 3 nephews; aunts and uncles; cousins; his work family; his beloved cat; and many other relatives and friends.

Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Leveta Haberman; and great-grandparents, Mildred and John Wolff.

On Friday, July 28, 2023, Cody passed away unexpectedly at his home in Windom.
