Conrad Eldon Heggeseth was born on October 31, 1936, in Minneota, Minnesota to the late Adolph and Selma (Nelson) Heggeseth. He received his education Minneota; graduating in the Class of 1954.
On October 12, 1969, Conrad was united in marriage to Joan Brausen at the Hemnes Lutheran Church in Minnesota. After marriage, they lived in the Windom area and were blessed with three children, Kevin, Kathy and Adrian. From 1965-2020, Conrad ran Heggeseth Construction until his retirement. Through the years, Conrad was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom where he was on the trust fund and properties board and ushered, a member of the Odd Fellows in Windom where he held all offices, a member of the Eagles Club, and of the MN Land Improvement Contractors Association where he was president from 1982-1983. Conrad will be remembered for his love of playing cards, cribbage, blackjack, trips to Jackpot, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, solitaire, and his time spent with his breakfast group at Jack Slades.
In 2005, Conrad and Joan moved into town from the country. Joan passed away on February 14, 2019. After her death, Conrad continued living in his home. His health had recently started to decline and he passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, March 1, 2022, at the age of 85 years.
Conrad is survived by his three children, Kevin (Kristina) Heggeseth of Windom and their children, Ryan Helmoski, Eric and Ruby; Kathy (Monte) Hendricksen of Lakefield and their children, Brandon, Austin and Nicholas; Adrian (Kimberly) Heggeseth of Las Vegas, NV and their children, Parker and Daphne; sister-in-law, Janet Froslan of Mankato; and many nieces and nephews.
Conrad is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan Heggeseth; two brothers, Eric and Leonard; sisters, Vivian, Clarice, Sara, Edith and Waldeen; brother-in-law Merlyn Froslan
