David "Bandana Dave" W. Zavaglia, age 71, of Jackson, MN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Jackson, MN.

Dave was born on May 25, 1952, to Dominic and Shirley (Reynolds) Zavaglia in Rochester, NY. He was baptized and confirmed in Rochester, NY, attended Florence Brasser Elementary School and Gates Chili High School. He lived with his family in Rochester until he was 18, and then began his own adventurous life which led him around the country, often by hitchhiking to compete in motocross competitions. Dave was a free spirited man with a zest for life that was never lost through life's ups and downs - he was resilient, and never gave up.

Dave was united in marriage to Pamela Southwell, and they lived in Alabama from 1983-1990, until their separation. He then settled down in Panama City, Florida, and later relocated to Minnesota in 2012 to be closer to family.

Dave loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Motocross, and listening to blues. His two favorite things in life are spending time with family and watching races.

Dave is survived by his children, Colby (Megan) Zavaglia and Lisa (Lee) Carrigg; five grandchildren; ex-spouse, Pamela Southwell; father, Dominic Zavaglia; sisters, Debi (Jason) DeRooy and Donna (Leslie) Currier; and many nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Shirly Zavaglia; and niece, Tara Miles.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Panama City, Florida, where his remains will be laid to rest.
