Delores Joanne Cogley was born January 10, 1939 at home, the daughter of Edward and Minnie (Johnson) Grund. That same year, Dee was baptized in Mountain Lake, MN at the Christian Reformed Church. She grew up in the Comfrey area and lived there until she was married. Her education was received in Comfrey graduating from high school in 1957.
On June 15, 1957, she married Kenneth Cogley in Sleepy Eye, MN. Following their marriage, they made their home in Darfur and Mankato. Since 1965, she and Ken have made their home in Windom. Delores worked as a waitress and cook before taking employment with the Toro Company, Fingerhut, and the packing plant. She retired from full time employment in 2004.
Throughout her life, Delores enjoyed raising flowers, was a fine cook for her family and enjoyed the company and card playing with the ladies who had worked with her at Fingerhut.
Following treatment for cancer and rehabilitation, Delores died on Saturday morning, October 26th. At the age of 80 years at the Sogge Good Samaritan home in Windom.
Her family includes her husband, Kenneth, and a son Todd (Jennie) Cogley of Audubon, IA, 5 siblings, Donna (Darrell) Goeman of Windom, Delvin (Eileen) Grund of Mankato, Dale Grund of Luverne, Jane Grund of Hopkins, MN, and Orv (Lois) Grund of Watertown, SD.
Besides her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her sister, Rosella; sister in law, Kay Grund.
