Donna Mae (Frenzen) Loken, daughter of Arthur Albert and Pearl Blanche (Pope) Frenzen, was born October 29, 1933 in Dale Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota and raised on the family farm. She attended high school in Windom and studied nursing at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Donna Mae Frenzen and Dean Webster Loken were united in marriage September 24, 1954 in Windom, Minnesota. To this union were born Peter Alan '57, Steven Eric '59 and Gregory Dean '62. Peter Alan passed in 1964 in Hopkins, Minnesota.
Dean's career as an electrical engineer brought the family to Chicago, Illinois in 1965. After Dean's death in 1973 in Schaumburg, Illinois, Donna worked at her children's school while going to college to become a registered nurse. She raised Steven and Gregory to adulthood. Gregory Dean passed in 1993 in Pensacola, Florida.
While Donna appreciated music, literature and nature, her passion was her family, immediate and extended. She faced her challenges with prayer and persevered through family and faith. Donna was in good health most of her life. She passed from this life due to complications from Alzheimer's Disease on November 2, 2017.
She is survived by her son Steven, daughter-in-law Judy, granddaughter Alexandra Daene, grandson Elliot Wesley and brother Floyd Norman Frenzen.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Woodrow Arthur, Arthur Leroy and Adrian Delmar and sisters Helen Duncan Purscell and Serena Hensch.
In lieu of sending flowers, the family is asking you to consider supporting a Gofundme account to purchase a headstone for Donna's uncle Emil Frenzen.
