Doris Sheer, 94, of Windom passed away Monday, November 22, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society Sogge Memorial in Windom. She was born on July 17, 1926 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Louis and Anna (Hoeppner) Miller. In her early years she was baptized, confirmed and graduated in Iowa. She married Raymond Carlson if Emmetsburg, Iowa. They had one son, Wayne. Raymond passed away when Wayne was 8 years old. Some years later Doris met Bill Sheer. They moved to Rock Island, IL. When Bill passed away, she moved to Windom to be near her family. She really enjoyed living in Windom and she had many wonderful friends. Doris is proceeded in death by her parents, Anna (Hoeppner) and Lewis Miller; first husband, Raymond Carlson; second husband, Bill Sheer and her son, Wayne Carlson. Doris is survived by her sister, Joyce Van Horn of West Bend, Iowa and her niece, Lori of Spirit Lake, Iowa. Doris is also survived by daughter-in-law, Linda Carlson of Windom; two grandsons, Kyle (Diane) Carlson of Spicer, MN and Kurt (Brittany) Carlson of Windom; one granddaughter, Tiffany Carlson of Windom and two great-grandchildren, Vincent and Maddalyn. She lived for her family and friends.
