Doris June (Olson) Voth was born on June 10, 1927, in Petersburg Township, Jackson County, Minnesota, to Frank and Agnes M. (Verchota) Skalsky. She was baptized and later confirmed at the Presbyterian Church in Jackson. Doris received her early schooling at Superior School in Superior, Iowa, and finished her education at Petersburg Schools. On August 16, 1946, Doris was united in marriage to Vincent R. Olson at the Presbyterian Church in Jackson. They farmed in the Trimont area for many years and raised five children. Vincent passed away in 1971. Following his death, Doris continued to live on the farm. In 1978, she moved to Windom and was united in marriage to Duane "Mallard" Voth at the First United Methodist Church in Windom. After Duane passed away in 1998, she continued to live in Windom in the home she loved. Recently, Doris was diagnosed with stomach cancer and moved to the Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom where she passed away at the age of 87. Doris was a former member of the Trimont United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school. At the time of her passing, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Windom. Doris enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved gardening, spending time outdoors, reading, antiquing, and taking walks around Wolf Lake in Windom. She also cherished the years she got to spend with her beloved dog Scruffy. Doris is survived by four children, Brian Olson of Ormsby; Claudia (Jim) Stewart of Dunnell; Sydney (David) Rupp of Windom; Douglas (Karen) Olson of Buckeye, Arizona; 11 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Anna Ambrose of Alpha; and many nieces and nephews. Doris is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Vincent R. Olson and Duane "Mallard" Voth; daughter, Naomi Olson; grandson, Troy Sandberg; brothers, Vernon and Raymond Skalsky; sisters Francis and Violet (Tusa) Skalsky.
