Elaine (Groff) Lesch was born to Theodore and Mabel (Ruthenbeck) Groff in the Okabena, Minnesota area. She attended and graduated from Okabena High School. Elaine was a longtime member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom.

On June 15, 1947, Elaine and LeRoy "Bud" Lesch were united in marriage. The marriage was blessed with two children, John and Nancy. They couple farmed around the Windom area, until moving into Windom in 1988.

In the early years, Elaine worked at Fingerhut, she wrapped gifts at Christmas time for Wolff's, Win Hardware in Windom, and at the office for the County Fair. She later worked at Gibson's, Pamida, Shopko, and finally McDonald's in Windom.

Elaine loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a people person and never met a stranger.

Left to cherish Elaine's memory are her son, John Lesch of Windom; daughter, Nancy Lesch Rothstein of Windom; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Judy (Dale) Peters of Rosemount; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy "Bud" Lesch; three brothers, James, Gordon and Rodney Groff.

A Celebration of Life Service for Elaine Lesch, age 95, of Windom, will be held Friday, March 10th at 11:00 A.M. at the American Lutheran Church in Windom, with Pastor Sarah Larsen Tade` officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Okabena at a later date.

A time of visitation and gathering will be held Friday, March 10th for one-hour prior to the service at the American Lutheran Church in Windom.

Elaine Lesch passed away on Thursday, February 23rd at the Good Samaritan Society- Sogge Memorial, in Windom.
