Eunice Lucht was born on September 3, 1938, to Earl and Esther (Steinhorst) Hatland in Dolliver, Iowa. Eunice was raised in the Christian faith. She was baptized and later confirmed at the Estherville Lutheran Church. She graduated from Dolliver High School.

On June 28, 1959, Eunice was united in marriage to Marvin Lucht at Estherville Lutheran Church. After marriage the couple moved to Middletown Township, Jackson County, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Becky, Ken, and Tom. Together, Marvin and Eunice worked and lived on the farm for 55 years. Eunice was known as the local Avon lady, she enjoyed connecting with her clients for many years. Eunice also loved caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Eunice was a social butterfly- she loved playing cards and bingo with her friends.

Marvin passed away on August 12, 2014. Eunice continued to live on the farm until recently when she moved to Accura Health in Milford, Iowa.

Eunice Lucht passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Accura HealthCare in Milford, Iowa.

Left to cherish Eunice's memory are her three children, Becky (Darry) Groshens of Dubuque, Iowa; Ken (Shannon) Lucht of Jackson; Tom (Rita) Lucht of Milford, Iowa; as well as her ten grandchildren, Sara (Chris) Davis, Darin Groshens, Ashley (Micah) Cole, Austin (Hailey) Lucht, Dallas Lucht, Dylan (Shelby) Lucht, Levi (Karrah) Lucht, Jordon (Lindsey) Lucht, Mitchell Lucht, and Garrett Sindt; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; and many other relatives and friends.

Eunice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin Lucht; her parents, Earl and Esther Hatland; great-grandchild, Amelia Cole; siblings, Artis England, Hazel Erickson, Lester Hatland, and Everett Hatland.

A Celebration of Life Service for Eunice Lucht, of rural Jackson, will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 10:30 AM at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Jackson, Minnesota with Pastor Greg Jorgensen officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Jackson.

A time of visitation and gathering will be held on Friday, August 18 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM and on Saturday, for one hour prior to the service, at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Jackson.
