Obituary

Evelyn Marie (Loder) Schumann was born on October 3, 1962 in Winnebago, Minnesota to John and Lila (Huntley) Loder. She received her education from Estherville Public School in Estherville, Iowa. On February 15, 1985, Evelyn was united in marriage to Mark Alan Schumann in Spirit Lake, Iowa. This marriage was blessed with one son, Marcus. After their marriage, Evelyn and Mark made their home in Windom where Evelyn was a housewife. Evelyn passed away on Friday morning, October 15, 2010 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 48. Evelyn enjoyed fishing, knitting, crocheting, collecting porcelain dolls, especially Indian dolls, going for coffee with friends and going for walks. She is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Mark Schumann of Windom; son, Marcus Schumann of Windom; two step-children, Thomas Schumann and his wife, Tami, and Stephanie McMillian, of NC; three step-grandchildren, Heidi, Kyle, and Brittany McMillian of NC; four brothers, John Loder and his wife, Irene, of La Puente, CA; Steve Loder of MN; Dwayne McDaniels and his wife, Cathy, of Des Moines, IA; and Jacob Loder of MN; two sisters, Virginia Reimche of Walnut Grove and Sandy Hidma and husband, David, of Lake Park, IA; mother-in-law, Geraldine Windschitl of Springfield; four brother-in-law's, Ed Schumann and his wife, Ann, of Albert Lea; Robert Schumann of Atlanta, GA; Raymond Page of Windom; and Phillip Schumann of Mt. Morris, MI; five sister-in-law's, Deb Hummel and her husband, Jim, of Windom; Colleen Daly and her husband, Pat, of Spirit Lake, IA; Sarah Van Meveren and her husband, Don, of Windom; Kim Kremmin and her husband, Doug, of Windom; and Phyllis Janssen and her husband, Phillip, of Linden, NC; many nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Darrell and Delma Huntley; and sister, Delma Loder. Blessed be the memory of Evelyn "Tubbie" M. Schumann.
