Obituary

Gail Marie (Bennett) Dick was born on April 6, 1954, in Windom, Minnesota, to Orlo and Ruby Mae (Wolff) Bennett. She grew up on the family farm until moving to Lakefield. She attended Lakefield High School and graduated in 1974.

On August 24, 1974, Gail married Brian Dick. Together, they raised two daughters, Mandi and Lisa. Gail worked in a variety of jobs: cleaning houses and in her later years she worked at Gordy's, Sunshine Foods, HyVee and Kwik Trip. She also cared for her six grandchildren.

Gail was a member of the First Baptist Church in Windom. She helped with Awanas for 15 years at the Free Church, and at the First Baptist Church she ushered and participated in life groups. Gail was also a lifelong member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #4 in Lakefield.

She loved taking care of her grandkids. She played bingo, watched Hallmark movies and Hartland, and loved listening to country music. Gail loved meeting people at work, going to church, and having God in her life.

On Friday, July 7, 2023, Gail passed away peacefully in her home, under hospice care, at the age of 69.

Gail is survived by her daughters Mandi Dick (partners Mike Hanson and Gordon Kuhnley) of Roseville and Lisa (Ronnie) Meyeraan of Heron Lake; six grandchildren, RJ, Alicia, Cayden, Kenzie, Brooklynne, and Emmet; ex-husband, Brian Dick of Mt. Lake; siblings, Bonnie Hunter of Fairmont, David (Aggie) Bennett of Mt. Lake, and Nancy Goodwin of Robbinsdale; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlo and Ruby; and a great-nephew, Jason Atkins.

Blessed be the memory of Gail Dick.
