A Celebration of Life Service to honor the life and legacy of Gail Lanning, 69, of Jackson, will be held at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Jackson, on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 2 PM, with a time of visitation and gathering for one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.

Gail Marie Lanning, born September 24, 1956, to Edward and Anna May (Stuermer) Lanning in Jackson, MN. She passed away suddenly on February 2, 2026 at Sanford Medical Center in Jackson at the age of 69 years. Gail was a lifelong resident of Jackson, Minnesota.

Gail was a graduate of Jackson High School and spent many years living and working on her family's farm. Later, she and her parents retired and moved to town. A devoted daughter, Gail, was a constant source of care and support to her parents as they aged, always willing to help in any way she could.

Gail found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was a loyal Minnesota Twins baseball fan who never missed a televised game. She loved watching classic television movies, feeding the birds, and spending time with her beloved cats, who brought her great comfort and companionship.

Gail is survived by her sisters, Susan Lanning, Jeanne (Randy) Stowell; nephew, Ben Stowell; niece, Liz (Billy) Warner; great nephews, Eli Stowell and Teddy Stowell; as well as numerous cousins.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Anna May Lanning.
