A Celebration of Life Service to honor the life and legacy of Harlan "Harly" Kuchenbecker, age 77, of Jackson, will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jackson, with a time of visitation and gathering from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at a later date.

Harlan Otto Kuchenbecker, 77, of Jackson, passed away peacefully on June 3rd shortly after being diagnosed with cancer.

Born on July 15, 1948 in Blue Earth Minnesota, Harly lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and a deep love for the outdoors. An avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman, he found his greatest peace in nature, whether casting a line, spending time in the woods, or sharing stories of his adventures with family and friends.

For many years, Harly worked as a carpenter, earning a reputation as a true master of his trade. His craftsmanship could be seen throughout the community, and his dedication to quality and excellence was evident in every project he completed. More than his skill, however, people will remember his willingness to lend a helping hand. He was the kind of man who would do anything for someone in need, always putting others before himself and making a lasting impact on those around him.

Above all else, Harly cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather whose greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved. He loved watching his children and grandchildren grow to become the remarkable people they are today, and he took great pride in all they accomplished.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Alice Mae Kuchenbecker; his three children; Julaine (Don), KaryAnne and Kieran (Virginia). His greatest joy is his five grandchildren, Kayla, Haley, Isaac, Mataya, and Maizey, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He will forever be loved by his older sister Janet (Jeff), brothers Kieth (Sue) and Neil. He was preceded in death by parents Walter and Lois and his brother Arlo.

Harly will be remembered for his strength, kindness, unwavering work ethic, and generous spirit. His legacy lives on through the family he loved, the lives he touched, and the countless memories shared by all who knew him.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support, prayers, kind words, meals, visits, and acts of generosity during this difficult time. The outpouring of love from family, friends, neighbors, and the community has provided great comfort and strength as they navigate the loss of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
