Jack Dean Malmgren was born November 23, 1931 in Minneota Township, Jackson County, Minnesota to Donald and Rachel (Wicks) Malmgren. He received his education in the Lakefield Public Schools in Lakefield, Minnesota. On March 13,1954 Jack married DeLores Koep. The union blessed them with three children: Kim, Kevin and Lynne. Jack worked as a sales representative for Land O Lakes and later managed a chicken hatchery. He was an exceptionally hard worker and spent most of his time on the road driving all over the State of Minnesota. Jack loved the outdoors especially fishing, hunting, gardening, and mowing the lawn and took great pride in his lawn and garden. On September 14, 2020 Jack passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota at the age of 88 years. Jack will be dearly missed by his wife of nearly 67 years, DeLores; children: Kim Malmgren (Joan Swan) of New Prague, Kevin (Holly) Malmgren of Castle Rock, CO and Lynne (Dan) Grabanski of Faribault; four grandchildren, one step grandchild, nine great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding Jack in death were his parents, Donald and Rachel and infant brother, Merril.
