Jacqueline "Jacque" Sue Swenson was born on September 25, 1940, in Washington to the late Elmer and Frances (Tramm) Kirk. She received her high school diploma from Jackson High School as a Blue Jay. Jacque was united in marriage to George D. Swenson on September 24, 1960, at the First United Methodist Church in Jackson, Minnesota. They became the parents of one daughter and two sons and made their home Windom. Besides being a member of the First United Methodist Church in Windom, Jacque also was active in her community. She enjoyed sewing, being a caretaker to her family and friends, traveling in her motor home after retirement and donating countless hours and time to the homeless and firemen of Mesa, Arizona. Jacque will be remembered for being very humble and proud of her children and grandchildren. Jacque's health had been declining recently and she was hospitalized at the Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, Arizona where she passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at the age of 76 years. Jacque is survived by her three children, Wendy Pohlman of Windom; David Swenson (Jennifer) of Shakopee; John Swenson (Amy) of Windom; four siblings, Patricia Baker of Arkansas; Sharon (Leon) Wiens of St. Paul; Richard (Linda) Schaffer of Parkers Prairie; and Gene Schaffer; four grandchildren, Benjamin, Isaac, Sarah Pohlman and Keith Swenson; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jacque is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George D. Swenson on March 13, 2000; siblings, Mary Lou Scheneman/Apple, Terese Winter, Kenneth Kirk, Wanda Schmidt and Lois Kirk.
