Jane Kay Henning, age 80, of Jackson, passed away Monday evening, July 25th at the
Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington. Per Jane's request services will be held privately.
Jane Kay Henning was born on January 17th, 1942, to the late Louis and Lydia (Libra)
Boell, in Jackson, MN. Jane was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church
in Jackson. Jane attended Jackson schools and graduated from Jackson High School in
1960. Jane continued her education at DeLyles Academy in Fairmont obtaining her
cosmetology license in 1961.
Jane was united in marriage to Arnold Henning at the United Methodist Church in
Jackson on October 24th, 1964. Together they were blessed with two children, Molly
and Brad. Jane and Arnold raised their family on an acreage north of Jackson until
moving to a farm in Enterprise Township in 1978. In 2010, Jane and Arnold moved into
Jackson, where they remained until Jane became a resident of the Sunset Hospice
Cottage in Worthington. Jane passed away peacefully on Monday night, July 25th, 2022,
at the age of 80 years.
Jane was a hairdresser for 46 years and retired in 2008. Jane was an active member of
the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jackson where she volunteered her time to teach
Sunday school, work on the altar committee, and Ladies Aide. Jane had many
enjoyments in her life which included scrapbooking, card making, embroidery, and
sewing. Jane's greatest joy was spending time with her 3 granddaughters.
Left to cherish Jane's memory are her husband Arnold Henning of Jackson; children,
Molly Hunt of Jackson; Brad (Ann) Henning of Jackson; grandchildren, Mackenzie,
Samantha, and Isabelle Henning; and brother; Bill Boell of Jackson.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents; Louis and Lydia Boell; brother, Howard Boell;
sister, Bonnie Mikkelson, and mother and father in-law, Martin and Ella Henning.
