Jeanne Marie (Maras) Holck was born on February 22, 1956, at Windom Hospital, to Isadore and Bernetta (Soleta) Maras. She was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom, where she was active in the youth group and taught Sunday School.

Jeanne attended Windom High School and went on to study at St. Cloud State University. She spent a memorable year abroad in Aalborg, Denmark, attending school and traveling. Upon returning to the United States, Jeanne spent a year working at the Home for Creative Living, before completing her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license through Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Worthington. She worked for five years at the Heron Lake Hospital, then moved to Mankato and worked as a private duty nurse and at the Nursing Home for Nuns. For the next five years, she became a supervisor at a busy family practice clinic, where her compassion and dedication touched countless lives.

After meeting Kim Holck through mutual friends, Jeanne and Kim were united in marriage on September 7, 1990, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom. The couple was blessed with two children, Jacob and Elizabeth. Jeanne loved spending time outdoors with her donkeys, horses and dogs. She also enjoyed crafting in many forms, especially creating handmade cards that brought joy to family and friends. Following her retirement in 2018 from her years of work at family practice clinics in Windom, Jeanne continued to serve her community with kindness, laughter, and care.

On August 31, 2025, Jeanne ended her earthly journey and, by God's grace, entered the heavenly kingdom. In her final days, she encouraged those she loved to fill their lives with joy and laughter, reminding us of the giggles of small children and urging us not to lose that spirit in the midst of life's troubles. She cherished the words of John 16:33: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 35 years, Kim Holck of Jeffers; two children, Reverend Jacob Holck of Melrose and Elizabeth (Arik McCubbin) of Sioux Falls, SD; siblings, Gale Bondhus (John Croatt) of Storden, Gary Maras of Oakdale, Janet Maras of Windom, Jerald "Frank" (Marie) Maras of Albert Lea, and Lisa Farag of Windom; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isadore and Bernetta Maras; sister-in-law, Denise Maras; niece, Jackie Maras; parents-in-law, Melvin "Sonny" and Wilma Holck; and brother-in-law, Harlan Holck.

Blessed be her memory.
