A Celebration of Life service to honor the life and legacy of Joyce Stevens, age 87, of Windom, will be held at the Windom Methodist Church on Thursday, November 6th at 2:00 PM, with a time of visitation and gathering for one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the church. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom.

The service will be livestreamed on the Windom Methodist Church Facebook page.

Joyce Elaine Stevens (Johnson) was born September 18,1938 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota to John and Bertha (Smith) Johnson. She attended Windom Public Schools and graduated in 1956.

On June 18,1957 she married Darrel Stevens at the Bingham Lake Methodist Church. They had one daughter, Debra; one granddaughter, Laura (Peterson) Lynett; and one great-granddaughter, Lainey Lynett.

Joyce was a lifetime member of the Methodist Church first in Bingham Lake and then in Windom. She and her husband farmed near Bingham Lake until they retired in 1995. She enjoyed fishing, having coffee with friends, completing jigsaw puzzles, doing crafts, and spending winters in Arizona.

Joyce passed away peacefully at the Good Samaritan Home in Windom on October 25, 2025.

She is survived by her daughter Debra; son-in-law John Peterson; granddaughter Laura (Peterson) Lynett; grandson-in-law Rob Lynett; great-granddaughter Lainey Lynett; brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Darrel; parents; siblings; sisters- and brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
