Kenneth "Ken" Cogley was born on May 11, 1930, in Bingham Lake, Minnesota to the late Adam and Lena (Wheeler) Cogley. He received his education in Bingham Lake, Minnesota. On June 15, 1957, Ken married Delores "Dee" Grund in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. Following their marriage, they made their home in Darfur and Mankato. Since 1965, Ken and Dee made their home in Windom. After moving to Windom, Ken worked at Steffen's Chevrolet and then for Russell Albrecht before working at the Windom City Arena until his retirement in the early 1990's. Throughout his life, Ken was a very involved member of the Windom Lions Club and enjoyed time spent with his fellow club members. He also was a member of the Arena Booster Club and the Bald Eagles in Windom. On October 26, 2019, Dee passed away. After her death, Ken remained in his home in Windom until recently becoming a resident of the Good Samaritan Society-Sogge in Windom. He passed away there on Friday afternoon, May 8, 2020 at the wonderful age of 89 years. Ken's family includes his son Todd (Jennie) Cogley of Audubon, IA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his four sisters, Helen, Alice, Mabel and Ruth; six brothers, Harold, Charles, Raymond, William, John and Leo. Blessed be the memory of Kenneth "Ken" Cogley. A private family service will be held on Friday, May 15th at the LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom with Pastor Dan Hormig officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery in Windom. Anyone from the public that wishes to attend the burial may meet in the LaCanne Family Funeral Home parking lot at 11:15 AM on Friday and follow in procession with the family. Attendees will be advised to stay in their vehicles and social distance. A public drive through visitation will be held on Friday, May 15th from 1-10:00 AM until 11:00 AM outside the LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom.
