Larry Lew Cherry was born on June 20, 1950, to Hazel (Snyder) & Harley Cherry Sr., in Tecumseh, Michigan. He attended grade school at Tipton Elementary and graduated with the class of 1969 from Tecumseh High, in Tecumseh, Michigan.

Larry worked at the General Motors Plant in Lavona, Michigan and later worked at Bargain Mart delivering furniture in North Minneapolis, Minnesota. After retiring, Larry moved to Westbrook, MN. In his free time, Larry loved fixing cars. He spent hours on the lake fishing to catch and release, and he enjoyed picnics with his family.

In April, Larry moved to the Good Samaritan Society in Windom. On August 8, 2023, Larry passed away peacefully, at the age of 73 years.

Left to cherish Larry's memory are his loving siblings, Harley (Linda) Cherry Jr. of Leesburg, FL, Sharon Plante of Anoka, Linda Johnson of Onamia, Gary Cherry Sr. of Hilltop, Roger (Rose) Cherry of Weirsdale, FL, Carolyn (Ron) Lee of Onamia, and Ronald (Nilda) Cherry of Leesburg, FL; fiancé, Judy Carrington of Westbrook; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Harley Cherry Sr.; sisters-in-law, Tish Cherry, Linda Cherry, and Beverly Cherry; brother-in-law, Wayne Plante; and niece, Lisa Cherry.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Larry's memory.
