A Celebration of Life open house to honor the life and legacy of Lawrence Cogger, age 69, of Jeffers, will be held at the LaCanne Family Celebration of Life Center in Windom on Saturday, August 16th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM with burial at Memory Gardens in Windom. Military Honors will be provided by Odegaard-Quade American Legion Post #401 of Jeffers.

Lawrence Cogger was born on March 24, 1956, to Lawrence and Beverly (Wendling) Cogger in Minneapolis, MN. He attended school there and later served in the United States Marine Corps until his honorable discharge.

Lawrence was blessed with five children in his life: Tracey, Angie, Mickaela, Tasha and Cheallsea. One of his favorite things in his life was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was known for his tough love, but soft interior once you got past the rough exterior.

He was known for his generosity and caring nature. Though occasionally stubborn, he valued family traditions like Christmas and block parties.

Other hobbies Lawrence pursued included fishing, fixing up cars and automobile restoration and demonstrating exceptional skill as a handyman.

Lawrence passed away Monday evening, August 11, 2025, at his home in Jeffers surrounded by family.

Left to cherish his memory are his longtime girlfriend, Linda; five children, Tracey (Robert) Cleghorn, Tasha (Keith) Abram, Mickaela Cogger, Cheallsea (Tony) Seamen, Angie (Gene) Schuldt; four grandchildren, Jordan Kositzke, Elli Abram, Lindsay Peterson, Karlie Schuldt; great grandchild, Dominick; three sisters, Linda (Terry) Lamont, Judy Newmiller, Joanne Anderson, many other family members and friends and cherished pet, Tommy.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Beverly.
