LeeAnn (Pawlitschek) Bauer was born on August 29, 1956, in Heron Lake, Minnesota, to Paul Peter and Marian Gertrude (Erickson) Pawlitschek. She was baptized, confirmed and married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heron Lake. She graduated from Heron Lake High School in the class of 1974. After school, LeeAnn attended Saint Mary's College of Nursing in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she earned a nursing degree.

On September 8, 1979, LeeAnn was united in marriage to David Richard Bauer. The couple was blessed with two children, Chris and Kelsey. Family meant everything to LeeAnn, and she had a special love for her kids and grandchildren, Jillian, Hatty and Cullen. LeeAnn was a dedicated registered nurse, who always put others first. She held various positions during her nursing career within Lakefield Hospital, Colonial Manor, Worthington Hospital, and Jackson Hospital. She also worked as a massage therapist for a time. LeeAnn spent many hours working side-by-side with David on the farm. She was David and Chris's favorite grain hauler. LeeAnn took great pride in being a part of the farm.

LeeAnn was a great host and loved baking and cooking meals for her family. She loved decorating for the holidays and baking Christmas cookies with her grandchildren. She found great pride and joy in tending her flower and vegetable gardens and had a greenthumb. LeeAnn's travels and vacations provided great memories that she cherished. She also enjoyed spending summer weekends at Big Spirit Lake. LeeAnn and David loved dancing together, going to live music events, and attending car shows. A cruise in the '62 on a summer night was her favorite.

Being community minded, LeeAnn volunteered with the Red Cross, American Legion pancake breakfasts, and she served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader. LeeAnn was a hard worker who enjoyed being involved with activities that served the greater good.

On Sunday, January 4th, LeeAnn passed away suddenly in her home. Family and friends will remember LeeAnn for her selflessness, dedication, and can-do attitude.
