Leone Harp was born on February 4, 1919 in Sparta, Wisconsin to Clair & Doris Tucker. Leone attended a one room country school near Sparta through the 8th grade then attended Sparta high school until she graduated in 1937. Leone was united in marriage to Vernon Harp on November 9,1937. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Lorna, Helen & Gale. She was an excellent home-maker and enjoyed gardening, canning and baking. Her home cooked meals were exceptional. She was also an excellent seamstress. Leone was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Wright where she was an active member and served as the church treasurer. When Vernon and Leone moved to Windom, they attended the Evangelical Free Church and enjoyed the fellowship of the congregation there. Leone was a resident of the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mt. Lake where she passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2019. She is survived by her children, Lorna (Bert) Dincau, Mt.Lake, Mn, Helen (Lawrence) Johnson, West Plains, MO, Gale (Betty) Harp, Rochester, MN; one sister, nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Leone was preceded in death by her husband Vernon, parents, seven siblings and one granddaughter. Blessed be the memory of Leone Harp.
