A Mass of Christian Burial for Lois Connors, age 97 of Jackson, will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 24th, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Jackson. The burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Waseca at a later date.

A visitation for Lois will be held for one hour prior to the funeral mass on Friday, January 24th, from 10-11AM at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Jackson.

Lois Connors passed away peacefully on January 21st, 2025, at the Sanford Jackson Medical Center in Jackson.

Lois Elaine Krause was born June 5th, 1927, in Woodville township to Clara (Schuldt) and Paul Krause. The family lived in rural Woodville township for 14 years and then moved to the city of Waseca. Lois attended country school district 75, and later graduated from Waseca Public High School, graduating in the class of 1945.

Following graduation, Lois worked for Swift & Company in the office and later worked for E.F. Johnson Company. In 1953, Lois and several friends moved to California for a short time and worked as a telephone operator in downtown Los Angeles. In December of 1953, they returned to Waseca, and Lois went to work at the First National Bank until her marriage in 1955.

On June 4, 1955, Lois was united in marriage to Leo William (Bill) Connors at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. Bills first teaching job took them to Morris, Minnesota. In April of 1960, Bill and Lois moved back to Waseca and purchased their first home together in 1962.

Lois and Bill were blessed with five children: Joan, Patrick, Francis, Kevin, and Catherine. In August of 1966, the family moved to Jackson where she resided until her passing.

Lois was a stay-at-home mom while her children were young. Her "outside the home" jobs included working at Farmers & Merchants State Bank in Alpha, front desk clerk, and bookkeeper at the Best Western Hotel, and working at Sperry Univac in Jackson.

Bill and Lois did lots of traveling in their years venturing to Germany, France, Ireland, Columbia, and Hawaii. They spent 16 winters in Texas cultivating new friendships with other snowbirds.

Lois was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Jackson, serving the parish on committees, and working on many quilts over the years. Lois enjoyed shopping at craft sales, rummage sales and going to auctions. For years, she was part of the R&R (rummage and roustabouts) group and enjoyed many lasting friendships with those gals. Lois loved to play cards, and BINGO, and even joined the "Lois Club". She was known for her quick wit and humor to the end, as well as her love for reading and doing word puzzles.

Lois lived life to the fullest, and will be remembered by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that she loved very much. She is survived by her children: Joan (Roger) Will, Patrick (Deb) Connors, Kevin Connors, Catherine Connors; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; Son, Francis; Daughter-in-law, Solvieg; granddaughter, Amanda; and an infant great-granddaughter.

Memorials can be made in Lois's name to Jackson co. Library, Senior Dining, or the Legion Auxiliary.
